FM Intelligence introduced FMIQ this week, giving subscribers an assistant for everyday-language queries about FX and CFD brokers. The company says responses show the result's measurement period and the dataset behind it.

FMIQ searches across portal data

The portal, which opened in March, holds information on broker volumes, website traffic, platforms, fines and licence records. Its volume tool covers almost 200 brokers, while the traffic heat map includes 98. FM Intelligence has also published nearly 200 analyses on DataLab. FMIQ searches seven datasets and can handle follow-up questions in the same chat.

The difference between portal access and public chatbot answers is visible in an OANDA traffic comparison. ChatGPT returned 14.6 million visits for January, a figure from an article published in February. FMIQ gave 155 million visits over January to September 2026, drawing on the full heat map. Both figures come from FM Intelligence, but cover different periods and sources of publication.

Public models return partial data

Ramzi Ahmad, director of intelligence at FM Intelligence, tested ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini and Grok against questions about broker traffic, volumes and Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) licences. Without web search, none produced traffic or volume numbers. With search enabled, they retrieved information from material already made public.

For volumes, the models surfaced EC Markets at about $2.11 trillion and TMGM at about $2.03 trillion per month. Those were second-quarter averages FM Intelligence published in July; the test left places three to five blank. Finance Magnates reported on 22 October 2026 that FM Intelligence also found AI agents linked to live client accounts at at least 10 brokers and platform vendors in the first half of 2026. FM Intelligence describes FMIQ as read-only, with live queries checked independently before a "Verified" label is applied.

Where this lands in the stack

For operations teams, FMIQ adds a query route to data already held in the portal; it does not, on the information available, establish a connection to a broker's own live account systems. The practical checks are which of the seven datasets support a given request, what period the returned figure covers, and whether the verification mark is present. The source does not specify how the independent check works.

Teams assessing the tool should establish how its results fit existing reporting and reconciliation workflows, and whether portal access covers the figures they need. FM Intelligence says the assistant is available to portal subscribers. The company has not specified further details here about the verification process or how users can export or integrate answers.
