Membership opens a dispute route

IQ Option became an approved member of the Financial Commission on 30 September 2026, following approval of its application. Eligible clients can seek independent dispute resolution and may be covered by the commission's Compensation Fund, which offers potential payments of up to €20,000 per client under its rules and conditions.

The commission mediates when a broker and its client have been unable to settle a complaint between themselves. Its remit includes contracts for difference, forex and cryptocurrencies. Recent membership additions named by the organisation include OneRoyal, RA Prime, MBX PRO, Neex, FP Markets, GTCFX and FXON.

Audit findings cover sampled orders

VerifyMyTrade, an independent execution analysis provider, reviewed a sample of 5,000 IQ Option order executions. The Financial Commission said the results met VMT's execution quality standards. A badge on the broker's member profile links to a page showing the audit date, the number of orders assessed and whether the standards were met.

The announcement gave no detailed results and did not say how the sample compared with IQ Option's total order volume. Separately, the Financial Commission investigated fraudsters who sought fees from traders for supposed fund recovery and chargeback work. They paired their offers with false guarantee letters and contact information made to look as though it belonged to legitimate firms or digital wallet providers. The commission says it offers neither service, does not approach traders unsolicited, does not conduct official business through messaging apps and does not issue guarantee letters. The announcement was also reported by Finance Magnates.

What this changes for operators

Operators should check which clients and accounts fall within the membership's eligibility rules, and what documentation is needed to handle a complaint or compensation claim. The announcement does not specify any platform, account or reporting changes required for clients to use the process. Teams can ask which internal records would support a client's case, and how a complaint would be routed if the broker and client cannot resolve it directly.

Risk and operations teams should also establish what audit detail the VMT badge makes available and whether the sample is useful for their own execution oversight. The disclosed figures do not show the sample's coverage of total order flow. Teams handling client communications can check that recovery and chargeback offers are routed through verified channels, and that staff know the commission does not provide those services. They can also review what guidance staff should give clients who encounter purported recovery agents, without implying that the commission itself offers a recovery route.
