Kalshi has added My Ballot to its 2026 Midterms Hub, giving visitors a way to see election contests tied to their address. The feature draws on Ballotpedia's election data and is available on Kalshi's website and mobile app.
Visitors enter an address, which Ballotpedia's Sample Ballot Lookup uses to identify relevant races and ballot measures. Kalshi checks those contests against its election contracts and displays a market price when it finds a match. The company says the feature will include every race with an active Kalshi market through Election Day.
The lookup shifts the starting point from a prominent national contest to the races on an individual ballot. A visitor can move from those local contests to a market where Kalshi has one, without first searching for a contract.
Address lookups connect ballots to markets
Kalshi's VoteHub already brings together market prices, polling, campaign-finance information and past results. My Ballot arranges that material around the visitor's own contests, rather than making a national race the route into election information.
Kalshi says more than 80% of people visiting the Midterms Hub come for information instead of trading. The address lookup gives those visitors a route to a relevant market, but the company has not published figures on how many go on to trade a contract.
Political trading now trails sports
Politics was Kalshi's largest trading category around the 2024 presidential election, a period when the platform was in court against the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Sports has since moved well ahead. Pew Research Center data show political trading below $300 million per month for the period ending in July 2026. In July, politics recorded $169 million in volume, compared with $31.4 billion for sports. Finance Magnates reported on the feature and its market context.
The integration question
For operators, the practical questions sit between the ballot data and the contract catalogue. What identifiers connect a ballot contest to a market, how are mismatches handled, and how often are the underlying data and displayed prices refreshed? Kalshi has not described those implementation details.
Teams assessing the feature should also ask how address inputs are processed and what visitors see when a ballot item has no matching contract. The announcement does not establish whether this information-led route results in trading, or what share of visitors proceed from a local lookup to a market.
