The CEO transition remains unresolved

TopFX's Global CEO, Victor Zachariades, is leaving the post and will once again concentrate on BKR44, the broker and prop advisory firm he established in 2022. He plans to stay at TopFX while the regulatory handover involving his successor is completed. The broker has not identified who will take over as CEO.

Zachariades took the chief executive position in mid-2024. He said he would assist TopFX and its incoming CEO during the changeover, while directing his attention towards BKR44's next phase. The announcement does not give a timetable for the handover, beyond tying his continued support to its completion.

BKR44 is broadening its offer

BKR44 began as a provider of solutions for traditional brokers. Zachariades has described its move into prop trading infrastructure as a widening of that business, amid a market where brokerages and prop platforms are becoming less distinct. He said BKR44 now supplies tools for brokers and prop firms, intended to help them manage operations and grow. Finance Magnates reported his comments about the firm's expanded offer.

Before joining TopFX, Zachariades was Managing Director EU at Pepperstone and established the Australian broker's Cyprus operations. His other leadership positions included roles at FxPro, Alpaca and Libertex Group.

What an operations team should check

TopFX teams can confirm who owns approvals, incident escalation and client issues during the interim, and whether any reporting lines change when the successor takes over. The announcement does not name the new CEO or set out a date for the regulatory handover.

Firms considering BKR44's tools should ask which workflows they cover, what integrations are required and how operational data is handled. The announcement gives no detail on deployment, pricing or product scope, so those points remain to be established with the firm.
