Victor Zachariades is leaving the Global CEO position at TopFX and returning full-time to BKR44, the broker and prop advisory business he founded in 2022. He will remain at the CFD broker while it completes the regulatory handover to a successor.

TopFX transition remains open

Zachariades took the chief executive post at TopFX in mid-2024. He is staying with the firm to help manage the changeover, but the broker has not yet announced who will take over from him.

He said he would continue assisting TopFX and its incoming CEO during the transition, while shifting his attention to BKR44's next phase. The timing and other details of the handover have not been disclosed.

BKR44 adds prop infrastructure

BKR44 initially supplied solutions to brokers. Zachariades says its work has since broadened to include infrastructure for prop trading, with tools intended to help brokers and prop firms operate more efficiently and grow their businesses. He did not detail specific products, integrations or technical changes associated with the expansion.

Before joining TopFX, Zachariades was Managing Director EU for Pepperstone, where he established the Australian broker's Cyprus operations. He also held senior leadership positions at Alpaca, Libertex Group and FxPro. Finance Magnates first reported his departure from TopFX and return to BKR44.

What this means on the desk

For TopFX operations teams, the immediate task is to establish how work will be routed until the regulatory handover is complete. Who handles escalations and operational decisions during the interim, and when will teams receive the successor's details? The announcement confirms Zachariades will help with the transition, but does not set out its internal process or timetable.

For brokers and prop firms evaluating BKR44, the announcement signals a wider remit but provides no technical specification. Operators will need to establish which tools are available, how they connect to existing systems, and what data, support and operating responsibilities sit with each party. Those details are not given in the announcement.
