Membership covers eligible platform clients

IQ Option became an approved member of the Financial Commission on 30 September 2026, following acceptance of its application. Clients who qualify can take unresolved cases to an outside mediator and may be considered for payments capped at €20,000 per client through the commission's Compensation Fund. Access is conditional on the fund's rules.

The commission handles broker-client mediation in contracts for difference, forex and cryptocurrencies when direct discussions fail. Recent additions to its membership have included Neex, GTCFX, OneRoyal, FP Markets, RA Prime and MBX PRO.

Execution review and fraud warning

VerifyMyTrade (VMT), an independent trading execution analysis provider, reviewed 5,000 IQ Option order executions. The Financial Commission said the results met VMT's execution quality standards.

The commission also investigated an impersonation scheme aimed at traders with broker-related losses or blocked withdrawals. The fraudsters charged for supposed fund recovery and chargeback services, and used fake guarantee letters and contact details made to resemble those of legitimate firms and digital wallet providers. The commission says it does not provide recovery or chargeback services, contact traders without invitation, use messaging apps for official communications or issue guarantee letters. Finance Magnates reported the warning alongside the membership and audit news.

  • Membership took effect on 30 September 2026.
  • Eligible clients may access the Compensation Fund, subject to its rules, with potential compensation of up to €20,000 per client.
  • The VMT audit covered 5,000 executions; the profile badge links to the audit date and results status.

What this changes for operators

For support and compliance teams, the new element is an external route for eligible clients whose disputes remain unresolved, alongside conditional access to the Compensation Fund. Operators should check which clients qualify, what evidence is required and how complaints are escalated. The announcement does not describe those procedures.

The audit provides a sample count and a result against VMT's standard, but not detailed findings or the sample's share of total order flow. Execution and risk teams should check how the audit date, scope and result are presented to clients, and what records they would need if an execution is challenged. Given the impersonation warning, support teams should also review how they direct clients to verify recovery-related communications.
