CFI Financial Group reported $3.45 trillion in notional trading volume across its licensed entities for the third quarter on 26 October 2026. The total was about 123% higher than a year earlier and 14% above the second quarter, making it the company's largest reported quarter.
Nine months reshape the annual comparison
Turnover for the first nine months reached $8.8 trillion, roughly twice the amount in the corresponding period of 2025. That figure is already more than a third higher than CFI's full-year 2025 volume of $6.4 trillion. The company publishes the figures for its licensed entities itself.
Quarterly growth continued through 2026
CFI's reported totals rose in each quarter this year: $2.3 trillion in the first quarter, up 11% from the fourth quarter of 2025, followed by $3.03 trillion in the second, a 31% quarterly rise. The third-quarter gain of 14% was slower than the spring increase, while year-on-year growth accelerated from 81% to 101% and then 123%.
CFI said quarterly volume has almost tripled since early 2025. Calculating back from the company's growth rates, Finance Magnates estimated first-quarter 2025 volume at about $1.28 trillion. Group chief executive Ziad Melhem said CFI sees room to broaden its reach and strengthen its position in markets it already serves.
Broker figures provide scale
Among brokers publishing their own turnover, VT Markets recorded $8 trillion in the first half of 2026, against CFI's $5.34 trillion for those six months. Capital.com reported $1.13 trillion for the second quarter, around 37% of CFI's $3.03 trillion. The comparisons were reported by Finance Magnates. In FM Intelligence data, EC Markets and TMGM each averaged more than $2 trillion a month in the second quarter. CFI's third-quarter result works out at about $1.15 trillion monthly, slightly more than half that pace. Its Broker Volumes tracker follows 265 brokers over 21 quarters, with quarterly turnover, active accounts and volume per user.
Client activity and product changes
CFI said clients made 90 million trades in the third quarter, double the year-earlier count. Deposit transactions increased 60% year on year in the quarter and 43% over the first nine months. Metals led trading activity in the second quarter, ahead of equity indices. On 1 October, CFI introduced a seven-day gold CFD, ticker XAUUSD-24H, alongside its other extended-hours products.
FM Intelligence counted at least 19 firms announcing weekend or 24/7 gold products between February and 1 October. Federico Cirulli became chairman of the board, while François du Plessis took the country chief executive role at CFI South Africa. Founded in 1998, CFI operates from London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, Bogotá and other centres, and secured a brokerage licence in Brazil in April.
Where this lands in the stack
The reported totals do not specify how the increase was distributed across CFI's systems or licensed entities. They also do not give peak throughput, latency, reconciliation workload or operating cost. For infrastructure teams, those are the checks that would show whether higher turnover means changes to capacity, monitoring or end-of-day processes.
The new seven-day product adds an extended-hours trading schedule to the existing product set, but the report does not describe its operating arrangements. Operators should establish what coverage, pricing and risk controls apply outside standard hours, and how those trades flow into reporting and reconciliation. The company's volume and trade counts do not answer those implementation questions.
