Exclusive Markets has appointed Mohamed Elsergany as Chief Executive Officer of MENA, according to a LinkedIn post he shared.
His arrival follows four years at PU Prime, where he held two senior management roles overseeing MENA. He spent two years and eight months as CEO of MENA, following one year and four months as Managing Director for MENA.
A career across two brokers
Earlier, Elsergany worked as a Business Development Manager at Swissquote, with a tenure of four years and one month. His career has therefore included both business development and regional leadership roles at brokers.
Regional firms add senior hires
PU Prime obtained a Category 5 licence in Dubai in February. The licence lets firms promote products offered by offshore entities, but does not allow them to execute trades locally or hold client assets.
Other firms have also made senior regional appointments. Match-Prime Liquidity hired Kareem Harras as Head of MENA in January to lead regional expansion. Dubai-based APC Prime named Shadi Salloum Global CEO in September; he previously served as MENA Director at XS.com.
ACCM has outlined plans to enter MENA and European markets. Capital.com appeared to be building its local presence through director-level recruitment in Bahrain and Azerbaijan. Earlier moves included GBE Brokers opening a Dubai office and appointing a regional executive in 2022, and Traze hiring Wassim Anastasiou as its MENA Regional Director in November 2025. Finance Magnates first reported Elsergany's appointment.
The integration question
The announcement does not say whether the appointment changes Exclusive Markets' legal entities, onboarding, reporting, routing or support systems. Operations and compliance teams would need to establish whether Elsergany's remit includes any change to the firm's operating model, and whether that requires updates to permissions or internal controls.
PU Prime's Dubai licence sets out specific limits: it does not permit local trade execution or client-asset holding. The report does not indicate that Elsergany's move involves a similar licence or any technical migration. For firms assessing regional operations, the questions are which entity handles orders, where client assets are held, and how activity is reconciled and reported.
